Sore

I physically hurt today. I think this is a sign I have been pushing myself too hard, or that I am too stressed out. I have not been running as often as I should. Working out really helps me feel better, and I believe it even helps me think better. I have been trying to run in the afternoons after work. The only problem is that I have been staying late too often to get my workout in. The only other option is to wake up at 4:30 in the morning to run before work. I am seriously thinking about doing this. I have a treadmill, and I have a nice neighborhood to run in. Either would work, and I would not have to try to fit it in later in the day. I think it may be worth a try for a couple of weeks. Just to see.

Work had been crazy, and I think I have been pushing myself mentally and physically, and then I have not been able to have a break. I know that it is not like that all the time. At least I think it is not like that all the time. I still feel like things are very new, and it still feels strange to be doing things by myself. i think it will take about a year until I feel more comfortable in my role, and even then I may end up in situations which make me uncomfortable.

And now for something completely different.
I think I may get a tattoo. I have had the idea in the back of my mind for a couple of years. Then one of the ladies I work with said she has found the perfect place to get a tattoo. It is owned by one of the OR secretaries. I like the idea of having a dragon watching my back. I am debating getting a small Chinese dragon at the small of my back. Dragons in Eastern cultures are good and usually protectors, despite their mean looks. What do you all think? Anyone with experience with tattoos?

I am too much of a wimp to get a tattoo but have always toyed with the idea of getting a small palm tree on my ankle or back. Let me know how it goes if you decide to get one!

I have two tattoos and love them! One is one my second toe (a very small flower) and the other is on my stomach (a sun). Whatever you decide to get, make sure it has meaning. I love my tattoos, but when I got them, I just picked pictures I liked. In retrospect, I wish I would have chosen items with more meaning to me. Have fun and do whatever they tell you to do after you get it (stay out the sun, keep them moist, don't peel the scabs, etc.)

*Make sure and take pictures so we can see!

I have the outline of a dragon on my lower back. I got it when I was 18 and still love it now.

I'd like to get some others but don't know any good tattooists now.

My husband and I have considered tattoo for the past 7 or 8 years, I just can't decide on what I want and I don't like what he wants...so it hasn't happened, yet.

I think your tattoo is a great idea!

Best Wishes for getting some Work out time in, it's a great form of therapy. I love Dragons and Chinese symbolism is very powerful. I'm a RN also, not a fan of needles on the receiving end. Good Luck! Here from ILCW

I have come as far as sitting in the tatoo chair but then started FREAKING out before they even touched me. I still want one though and I am just a big chicken.

I have two tattoos, the oldest I got over 10 years ago and I still love them both. One is on top of my foot and the other is your typical tramp stamp (you know, the butterfly on your lower back).

It is fun having tattoos that no one can see at work and then they are shocked when they see you outside of work. I have been thinking about a third, but don't know what I want yet.
